Vitiligo Treatment

Vitiligo is a skin disease, which causes are still unknown and generally considered as incurable. In most cases, people who suffer from this cutaneous disease are treated in the hope of improving the appearance of the affected area.

There are some treatments that help to improve the condition of the skin in people suffering from vitiligo. One of the important treatments is developed in Cuba by Dr. Carlos Miyares Cao, using the Melagenina Plus ointment. Malagenina Plus is an alcoholic extract of placenta, mixed with melagenine and calcium, that stimulates the reproduction of melanocytes around the edges and / or within the affected areas. It has shown efficiency in 86% of the patients. The fundamental secret to achieve the maximum effectiveness of the medication rests in the discipline and consistency of it’s daily application. When used correctly, results in the first week of it’s application.

The treatment with Melagenina Plus has been developed for more than three decades in the Centro de Histoterapia Placentaria in Havana. It has no side effects and it can be used on children, the elderly, pregnant women and during breastfeeding.
